Description
nGenius Performance Manager
A powerful web-based console providing real-time, short-term, and historical analysis of network data from both NetScout and standard RMON probes. You can monitor traffic, analyze response times, view network utilization, perform packet analysis, and view response times from multiple data sources. When used with an nGenius K2 license, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) make it easy to determine the state of an application across all interfaces and servers on your network.
Sniffer Analysis
Sniffer Intelligence Console
A highly customizable Windows-based console providing application performance analysis on key network and application dimensions. The Sniffer Intelligence Console can be launched independently for analysis of trace files, or, alternatively, from either nGenius Performance Manager or the nGenius InfiniStream Console for context-sensitive analysis.
nGenius InfiniStream Console
A Windows-based console, providing administrative features, packet mining, statistics tabulation, filtering, short-term reporting, decodes, and Expert analysis.
InfiniStream Web Access
A web-based console providing short-term reporting, packet mining, administrative features, and remote decodes for Model 69xxA data sources.
Administrator
Provides enterprise management, alarming, authentication, and update distribution for multiple Model 69xxA data sources.
Visualizer
Provides enterprise reporting for legacy Network General data sources (v4.1, and v4.2 only).

Home

You use a single executable to install both the nGenius InfiniStream Console and the Sniffer Intelligence Console. The combination of these two consoles is referred to as Sniffer Analysis

IMPORTANT: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 must be installed on the Console system. The .NET framework is available on the InfiniStream Application CD.

NOTE: The nGenius InfiniStream Console supports the terminal server implementations provided by Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP Professional SP2. A maximum of three simultaneous terminal server connections are supported. See the nGenius InfiniStream User's Guide for details on using a terminal server configuration.
NOTE: Always install the latest security updates available.

Internet Explorer v6 SP1 or v7 is recommended for use of Sniffer Global Web Access
Windows Media Player 9, 10, or 11 is required for playback of VoIP media

NOTE: This release does not support 64-bit processors. If the installation wizard detects a 64-bit processor, an error message will appear and the installation will not proceed.

The default password for the root, admin, console, and monitor accounts supplied with new Capture Engine images is netscout1. The old one was sniffer.
